Stuff From Around Arkansas, July 15

Updated: Apr 15

A search of "Passailaigue" brought up this photo of model Dallyana Passailaigue. I couldn't even begin to tell you who she is, but I know she's infinitely more interesting than the Arkansas lottery director with the same last name.

Confidence Game: Gov. Mike Beebe says high salaries for Arkansas lottery officials are undermining public confidence in the lottery. Not for me, though. I never had any confidence in the lottery. (Arkansas News Bureau)

Confidence Game, Part 2: Meanwhile, lawmakers are concerned that high salaries and rising tuition will undercut scholarships. Man, lottery director Ernie Passalaigue is a PR genius! (Arkansas News Bureau)

Fed Up: All four members of the Arkansas House Congressional delegation have signed on as co-sponsors of “Audit the Fed” legislation, a favorite of our rabble-rousing friends at the Central Arkansas Campaign for Liberty. (Arkansas Times)

Dollars and Cents: Wondering how Arkansas candidates are faring in the money race but don’t want to slog through financial reports? Blogger Jason Tolbert puts his obsessive-compulsive disorder to work just for you. (The Tolbert Report)

Weighty: On former Gov. Mike Huckabee’s recent weight gain. Mean. Yet still funny. (Wonkette)

Flu Shot: Beware swine flu! Yes, this is still a thing, apparently. (AP)

Exchange Rate: So it appears that you’re NOT supposed to take in foreign exchange students and use them as a source of cheap labor, which is really going to put a crimp in my Arkansas Project business plan. (Under the Dome)
