Arkansas Carry PAC, the political wing of Arkansas’s largest gun rights advocacy group (Arkansas Carry), has endorsed John Cooper for Senate District 21. A special election is being held in the district to fill the seat of former Democrat Senator Paul Bookout who resigned amid ethics violations.
In a press release, ACPAC Chairman Nicholas Stehle said:
Arkansas Carry PAC is pleased to announce its endorsement of John Cooper for State Senate, District 21. Mr. Cooper’s responses to our survey were the best received, and his past comments on Second Amendment rights place him at the top of a generally pro-gun field. We thank Mr. Cooper for his commitment to liberty and wish him success in his race.”
The primary will be held on October 8th. Early voting begins next Tuesday, October 1st. Dan Sullivan and Chad Niell are also Republican candidates for the seat.
